He is progressive farmer since 1975. He has been involved in Field Cropping and Orchard Management. In field farming he has achieved excellent results in getting higher yield per acre by sowing wheat, cotton and sugarcane since 1975. In Orchard Management since 1995 he has specialized in Dates, Mangoes and Guava. By applying latest knowledge and know how he has always achieved record production of these fruits.
After completing his graduation from F. C. College, Lahore Mr. Ijaz Ahmed completed his Masters in Political Science in 1974 from Punjab University, Lahore.
He remained director of JDW Sugar Mills Limited for more than 25 years. He has played vital role in Cane development, infrastructure development, procurement strategy and expansion of plants of JDW Sugar Mills Limited. He is also member of Audit Committee and Human Resource & Remuneration Committee of JDW Sugar Mills Ltd.
